Every once in a while, The Simpsons pulls through and is almost as good as it used to be. For instance, a gem from their latest episode:

Store clerk: The last time I checked, pirates weren't gay.
Homer: Ewww, how'd you check?

I never actually looked at the lyrics to the John Mayer song "Stop This Train" before, but I just realized they describe my life completely at the moment.
