ok, so hap'pyos are over. Hap'pyo means presentation. I did mine on keitais. I was surprised to find out that 4 of the girls I interviewed send more than 100 keitai mails a day! AMAZING! So we went to the Kusawa hi no matsuri which means the Kusawa Fire Festival. It sounded so cool. So we payed the nearly 1000 yen train fair to get there. That is the name of the temple we went to today. Not a temple rather...Yasuka Jinja. A Shinto Shrine. The name of it was Fushimi Inari. It is the site of 1000 tori, or gates. Ok so I went to this place called Spa World. It is just what it sounds like. Its a huge place with tons of spas. The only difference is that in Japan they are called Onsen and it is communal. Today I missed going to Yuukis soccer game cause I was still asleep when the left. I felt bad, but what was I gonna do. When they came home my Host Mother made pizza and bought Coke. It was good. So yesterday. I went to Kyoto with Jason. We went the wrong way when we got off the subway. Mostly Jason's fault cause he took the lead. But whatever, 30-40 minutes of walking later we finally got to Yasuka Jinja, the front temple for Kiyomizu temple. Im sitting here at my host familys computer and Im sweating. There is an air conditioner on the wall, but here...you just dont use them. The cost of electricity is so high that ususally you suffer, until company comes over. In a country filled with millions of conveninces using them is taboo.
