Grraaaaarrrgh, this post.

Okay, this guy walks into CF and lurks for a bit.  He makes comments about how the entire group is close-minded, and says things like "at last, someone intelligent!" when anyone agrees with him.  Then, he posts about his unhappiness with life - that, in short, he has no one he feels really close to, and that his ex- ( Read more... )

Yeah.;p

The coolest, least conformist people never bother to say it, or, probably, think about it. They're either having too much fun or changing the world.

I remember when I was babysitting for an eight-year-old just after Heath Ledger died. He asked why there were so many posters for The Dark Knight, and I started to tell him, but then I realised he just wouldn't be able to understand it for a few years, like Elvis being dead didn't bother me (okay, bad example, since he died before I was born).

It's such a weird feeling, when you can see some of the things that are going to happen to change a child as they grow, and you can't tell them because they just won't understand till afterwards.

Your post makes sense, but... to be honest, I think the guy is just an attention whore. He may never have been there in the first place to -truly- get advice.. and now he's getting exactly what we wants.

I think he is, but doesn't know he is.

I don't really mind either way - I always find it interesting to meet people with completely different mindsets and study them. I can't control what he does, but I can use it to understand people and be a better writer.

Every time someone goes on and on about the fact that they're NON-CONFORMIST I think of the goth kids at my high school who thought they were so ~unique even though they were 50 of them and they all wore the same shit, used the same lingo, listened to the same music, etc. They're totally conforming, just not to what they think the norm is.

That post was LULZY as hell. I thought he was, at most, 19. I was surprised to discover he was 28. Oy!

Extremely sad. Are these people just out there en masse or what?

What, nearly thirty-year-olds stuck at a much younger age of development?

I think they get that way by not talking to many people, so they probably are and we just don't see them.:(
