As much as I feel like I'm failing at everything, objectively I've been making a lot of progress (for me).

There's supposed to be a baseball game on right now. Why is ESPN ignoring their stated programming? I hate everything. (Follow up - rain delay. Psh.)

is a lot harder to pay attention to than i thought it would be. first of all, the dude has been going on and on about the pepper trade. good lord, i want some vulcanology! also, i'm trying to pay attention to too many things at once while i sew. but yeah, sewing.

i'm not sure i've done a whole lot lately besides buy endless skeins of yarn because my project lied to me and i don't have enough (ever.). i'm almost done with karla's birthday present but since it hasn't passed yet i can't very well post about it here.

so i haven't posted again. but i have done a bit in the meantime, so i'll try to work my way back to caught up, and i'll start with the corset.

my goal for particularly today, but the weekend in general, is to make significant progress on this corset. i would love to say 'finish it' but i am the world's slowest sewer and i really don't think that is a realistic goal.

my official project these days is my victorian 1850s day dress. i'm at the point where i'm applying trim and finishing things up, and i am finding this absolutely tedious, perhaps in part because i don't even particularly like the dress, and it definitely doesn't even fit me right now. because of this i've started sixty thousand other projects ( ( Read more... )
