It's that time of the year again. Hope the new year is free-er of bad weather, bailouts, mavericks, and all that other cr^H^Hstuff. -
The worst (or best?) Xmas
Wow. In terms of the environment, this was the worst Xmas ever. When I woke up at about 9 am this morning (I knew from looking at my phone), the first thing I noticed was the blank clock screen. Web computers
I just found out about a web app called AirSet. Basically once you log on you see a desktop in the browser - that's your computer. You can create "web computers" to share and collaborate with groups. This past weekend I found two amazing software that brings improvements in computer vision and image processing algorithms to the consumer.

Snow snow go away...
... come again another week. T_T Forecasted snow fall this weekend. Nooooo... this is gonna spoil my weekend plan if the roads are slippery since people here aren't prepared for snow(*). Neither am I. :(

Holiday party
I went to the holiday party organized by my company's division last evening. I took public transport there to avoid the traffic jam, which turned out to be rather interesting.
