Concerts
It's been a while.
Had another dose of Brahms' Symphony No 1 today. ^_^ It was great. This is the 3rd time I've heard this piece at the concert hall here and 2nd by this orchestra. It was nice to be at the center seat as my ears devoured the music. <3 The piano duo was a bonus. :p -
Saving
Knowing what's ahead of me, I should start saving money and tightening my budget. It won't be enough but I can at least try. -
Time
So many things to learn, so many things to do, so little time. The next fiscal year at work will challenge me, esp. in personal development. I gotta do this, now more than ever ( Read more... ) -
Alone again
My guests are gone. My apartment feels empty. Quiet. Lonely. I'll miss them. -
Mariners
I went to my first ever live baseball game last night with my guests. The Seattle Mariners was one of my group's favorite teams. Well - they lost big time last night - 9-0! The replacement pitcher was EPIC FAIL - he let the enemy team get two - two!! home runs!! This was in the last inning too. He was replaced, but it was too late. People started ( Read more... ) -
Canada road trip
Drove to Canada on Saturday. Drove back on Sunday afternoon. Went there with my guests and her family members who are also in town on vacation. I enjoyed the visit to the Vancouver aquarium. The suspension bridge was nice too, but I had to suppress my fear of heights to survive the walk across. ^^;; The drive home was tiring. At least the border ( Read more... ) -
Windows Home Server saves the day!
My decision to set up Windows Home Server on a second PC in my apartment has paid off! It saved me from reinstalling the OS (with lots of apps installed) on my main PC when it "died". Lately it had been getting blue screens (on Vista!) and go into a reboot loop a lot. It finally died a few days ago and couldn't boot up successfully no matter what ( Read more... ) -
Missing phone
Today I was missing my cell phone. I knew I brought it home. I just couldn't find it anywhere. Luckily I was able to get someone to call my phone 4 times while I tried to pinpoint the source of the ring tone I had ( Read more... )
