So I got sick on Christmas. Well, early morning the day after Christmas to be precise but yeah, it sucks. Well, I went in to my new office yesterday for the first time. I left with a good impression. I feel like I'll be working with some good people. I think this will be a rewarding tour for me. I feel I have taken another small step towards domestication today. I was tasked by the girlfriend to take down all of her pictures in the apartment and go to the hardware store to get some stuff to fill in the holes left by the nails she used to hang the pictures. I am presently watching professional football at the perfectly reasonable hour of 6pm which feels surprisingly wonderful considering I had been watching it starting at 9pm for months. I got up at 3:30 am today to fly to San Diego for a day. Less than a day even. 19 hours in fact. Stupid Navy with their stupid orders making me leave in Dec instead of Nov. Oh well. Well, I made my trip down to NC yesterday. It was a pretty good drive. Not too long, about 7 hours, maybe a little less. Morganton is a quaint little town. Also I will be flying in on Southwest which may be significant because if I remember correctly it has its own terminal at BWI. I might be making that up though since I haven't flown through there in years.

It is now official. I will be touching down tomorrow at BWI at 8:05 pm and I am thrilled out of my mind. I've tied off every loose end here except for one which requires me to trek back to San Diego at the beginning of December but that's a whole other story that I will refrain from boring you with.
