Today I get to have my ass handed to me in Judo, after which I get to be humiliated in Russian for not being able to understand part of our five pages of homework. Later I can go to Russian Culture and hope that even though I had a panic attack on Monday and missed it, I'm not too far behind. Woke up at not quite five in the morning. Double checking my Russian homework, cringing at my own bad cursive. I lost my campus map and the people at the front desk in my build were out, so apparently I'm not the only one. I went looking for it, and found it after a great deal of panic. Made a fool out of myself in Russian, got kicked out of Ballet, looking forward to the few hours of sleep I can get before night falls and it gets loud again. Debating eating. Doesn't seem to be much of a point to it, honestly. -

It's infuriatingly hard to get to sleep in this room. The droning of the pipes keep me up even when I feel exacted. Tomorrow I have four classes and I have to be up just three hours from now. I tried going to the store just off campus, but they didn't have sleeping pills, so I'm just sort of sitting here alone. The food services weren't working so ( Read more... ) -

Keep having dreams I've moved up to Nunavut to rough it, working hard and making my living one killed animal at a time, trying to stay alive in the peaceful quiet and nothingness of the Arctic. The cold comforts me, reassures me I'm alive, and then I wake up and remember that dream is dead. It hurts ( Read more... ) -

So far, the best part of college, even as massive and hard to navigate as this one is, is the fact I don't have to deal with my parents. My Dad made moving in a miserable endeavor, and it's pretty loud since my room is right by the building's main extrance, but I love my new room. I'll have to wait until next week to bring over some extension cords ( Read more... ) -

Nothing better than moving into college, opening up your inbox and finding out one of your best online friends has gotten pissed off at you and wants to quit talking to yout. For now real reason I can determine. Ugh. -

Found out how much my textbooks are going to set me back. Sucky, but not as bad as last semester. Tomorrow the dog goes home and my impromptu dogsitting is over, but everything's already packed for college. Not much to do but sit around and read, sleep, try to enjoy the last days of summer ( Read more... )
