TV galore

EDIT: Something VERY weird just happened with my White Collar spoiler cut. I hope no-one read anything they didn't want to while I wrestled it back under control. This is why I never go to bed now without checking all the coding works as I expect *g*

TV's been pretty good these last few weeks. Awesome.

Well, I can't see ABC getting rid of it any time soon. It gets some pretty awesome ratings.

The longer it's around the happier I'll be *g*

There isn't a weak link in that cast. I love them all.

I agree about White Collar. Neal did not seem like the criminal that a class would dissect. We saw a hint of it in how he's able to use his charm and looks, but not that much about counterfeiting and etc.

Yeah, right? A class dissected that? There didn't seem to be that much there. Enough for a whole semester, really?

Because I always thought that Neal had pretty much been a grifter all his life - or more or less all his life but the show seemed to suggest that while Neal had the counterfeiting down, it took Mozzie to show him how to do the rest which seemed...a strange choice to me.

Re: White Collar. I can't help but feel that if the writers wanted to tie everything up so neatly (which is inelegant and has led to more glaring plot holes than any other ep so far), they should have at least made it a two-parter. That was far too much story crammed into far too little space to do any justice to the characters. It's no wonder Kate and Neal's supposedly epic romance falls flat on its face if you reduce it to a dozen lines of dialogue.

YES, exactly. They should have made it a two parter. Way too much info for a 40 minute episode.

At least then we might have got a sense of time passing and seen why Neal thought Kate was so awesome. As you say, it's pretty difficult to show what was supposed to be an epic romance in about a dozen lines of dialogue.

And the lack of believability of the Kate/Neal romance was always a problem I thought they had all through season one. It's difficult to care about whether or not Neal finds her if we don't know her. And then all this episode did was make me wonder further why he was so into her. As far as I can tell, he really hardly knew her.

Dammit, show! This is the first episode I've actually been really disappointed with.

No, I just got spoiled for White Collar because you've put that it was a flashback episode outside the cut. Could you delete that bit?

*headdesk* Sorry.

For some reason it didn't quite click with me that talking about flashback episodes of other shows, might just give a clue about what this episode was about.

All spoiler cut now.

Dude, your totally right about the yachts because: wow, that's not as easy as it looks.

Also: booms are bad.

I missed the bit where Steve bends down to talk with Grace off camera. Damn! Guess I just have to watch it again :D

Seriously, my first thought was 'are those stunt yachts?' because I don't know anyone who would do that without the fear of garotting themselves.

Booms are very, very bad. Even when they have no wind behind them, they hurt.

Well, he smiled at her, looked fondly at her but I didn't see him talk to her, which, I thought was a bit odd. So I spent the entire scene ignoring Danny and watching Steve and so noticed him talking to Grace. It kind of made my night *g*
