I'm not sure if this is the first year it's happened, or if it's the first I've noticed it happening (which is more likely), but there is an amazing amount of Faery activity going on in my neighborhood.
At least, I think there is. Maybe I'm reading the signs wrong.

Been an up and down sort of day. I'm really excited about getting my teaching certification, and I'm doing well - generally speaking - on the practice Praxis tests I've taken, but the reality of the situation is that I have no idea how on earth I'm going to pay for tuition. So I figured out why money is so tight this month, and it certainly wasn't a comforting revelation. I first started paying back student loans around October, right when I also picked up one shift at the game store every week. So that income basically supplemented my loan payments. I'm experiencing a lot of conflicting emotions right now. Joy and jealousy, hope and fear, serenity and anxiety. So, I kind of am no good at dealing with other people when I'm going through my own shit. Case in point, C had a "rough" day at work. Why was it rough? Because it was busy. It's bad enough when we find books out of place, especially when there's a stack, due to a customer's laziness, stupidity, and sheer sense of entitlement, but it's just enraging when customers do it right in front of us. As in, ( Read more... ) -
