BAH.
BAH. I've been saving up to get Brian a Wii for his birthday. Having enough stockpiled almost 2 weeks before his birthday I went to order it today, and THEY'RE OUT OF STOCK EVERYWHERE. So my laptop fell and landed on the concrete hearth. I thought everything was fine, but now I have to mess with the cord for a good 5 minutes before I can get it to charge the battery instead of just reading "plugged in, not charging." Barfy went up a step!
He's been crawling for all of 2 weeks, and he's already learned how to pull himself up on his knees at the single step to the dining room, and this evening he managed to climb on up. He seems to be making up for lost time.

Nora's first day at KDO!
Kid's Day Out, that is. I found a program at a local Methodist (I know, I know) church that offers a 3 hour play time from 9-12, M-Rs. It's $10 a visit, $15 for more than one kid. I took Nora for her first day there this morning, and I'm counting the seconds until I can go pick her up and see how she did. Hence the time-burning post. The place ( Read more... ) -

I haven't been posting much recently because with the exception of the kids things have been crappy recently. Brian was laid off two months ago, money is a mess, his family is tired of babysitting- meaning Brian has no time to work on his freelance stuff, I completely stopped taking care of myself, half of our local friends are having a worse time ( Read more... ) -
On gifts and some sap about my parents.
So I'm done with the Christmas shopping I'm capable of this year. Brian's mom told us not to get them anything, given his lack of job, so I'm planning to make fudge and bring a bottle of nice wine on Christmas day, so I'm not arriving empty-handed. This is my bank, and it makes me happy.I overdrew my account ALL THE TIME in college. I'm just not great at keeping track of numbery things, and I never had much $ to spare.
