So my laptop fell and landed on the concrete hearth. I thought everything was fine, but now I have to mess with the cord for a good 5 minutes before I can get it to charge the battery instead of just reading "plugged in, not charging." The computer's only about 2 years old, but the internets say that I'm pretty much boned as far as fixing it. I

My friend gonzostar had a similar thing happen to her laptop and I *think* she was able to get it repaired. The repair shop had to re-solder something. However, her laptop crapped out on her for good about six months later. Don't know if the two things are related or not, though.

Thanks! I didn't want to blow money on a repair if it wouldn't last, but this gives me confidence. I'll add that to my to do list this weekend.
