I am absolutely horrified that Proposition 8 has passed in California. You know, the one that calls for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage? Yeah. It fucking passed. In California of ALL places! I'm disgusted. What a terrible step back for equality and civil rights. I'm FURIOUS that a constitutional amendment is going to be put in place

I'm pissed about Prop 8, also. Like, how is TAKING HUMAN RIGHTS away an option?

After Lincoln freed the slavew, I'm sure if you put it to a vote a few months later there would be plenty of people who wanted the "slaves" back. You can't take away HUMAN RIGHTS once they are given. Period.

Now don't even get me started on the fact that they should have had this right from go, cause that's a whole other kettle of fish.

But yeah, I'm super disappointed and shocked that this happened.
