Indulged in a glorious Summer weekend in Brisbane, mostly due to a game I'd forgotten everyone plays (despite being quite the contender myself) called "get everyone trashed till they can't move or speak". Spent most of the weekend working on the magazine, including a 6 hour jaunt around Newtown/Enmore on Saturday afternoon with Rachel selling ads and drumming up excitement. Our beloved sub-editor Claire Dobel is moving to the UK so we popped into her going away party at Madame FlingFlongs and I got marched around the room to meet the staff of plenty ( Read more... )

I might have had to give up my 11am starts and days working from home but this job certainly has its perks; week 1 has included free Krispy Kreme, paid coffee meetings, Poker tournament complete with Beer O'Clock and today there's a team lunch.
