Well sadly my plan for Friday night was kind of destroyed when I realised that there are no showings for Ponyo on in the evening any more. • Today I was pleasantly pleased to discover that it was only 32 and not the 42 degrees I was expecting. And then I saw the news. 84 confirmed dead in Victoria after 46 degree heat sparked unparalleled bush fires.

Friday was a little bit dramatic after I got another bite from Angry Cat which quickly became infected and I had to leave work early after I tried to close my fist and almost passed out in the middle of a courtyard. With a busy schedule the rest of the weekend and a week of working late nights we stayed in on Friday and I finally integrated the Sims installation from Mikey's machine into my own. Due to the project going in on Saturday night Friday was exceptionally painful and didn't end until 9 or so when dinner with the boy and a glass of wine was well received. Another quietish weekend, thankfully Mardi Gras is next week to make up for it. Mostly local randomness over the weekend, pub visits, tasty Indian, lots of chores, being bemused by mainstream video clips, Sims 2 graduation, work I was hoping to have finished long ago and the return of dasein23.
