Layla sat at the window watching the syrup rain come down. She had a plate of eggo waffles sitting on the window sill and a cup outside the window collecting syrup.
After a week of classes and whatnot, Layla figured a eggo treat was the best way to celebrate.

Layla let out a very long sigh. Sometimes knowing stuff in advance was a real chore. Especially if you knew what was going to happen to you and when.
But she knew this thing was going to happen to her eventually. Just like it did for all the inhabitants on the island eventually. She just really wished it didn't happen so soon.
