So, we've finally had rain! And we came home yesterday after a week away to find our bottom tank was brimmed full, so the new guttering down the NE side of the house is working, so, that is yay. Yeah, I am really fingers crossed about the Japanese maple. It's not that old, so it's not a historical part of the garden like some of the other plants, but it is one of my favourite things, and I'd be heartbroken if it died.

A lot of its underfoliage is all brown and shrivelled, but the rest is healthy, so I think it just sacrificed a bunch of the leaves when it was super dry.
