I really wanted to like this book. I liked Raising Blaze, his mother's parental account. It's a personal account by an autist, which I always want more of. I even liked the idea of the format, which I know from reviews here put some readers off. Yesterday and the day before that I did a whole bunch to the kitchen. Moving stuff around, excavating stuff we need, throwing out stuff we don't. It's not done yet, but it's more practical than it was, and we have half a table back to use, rather than a patch the size of our chopping board. Last night, O'Reilly was making an odd noise in the kitchen, so I got up and opened the door, and he came out with a huge rat. So, I got sick of staring at white background with Times New Roman font, it was hell on my visual sensitivity, and so I applied a different layout. I've twiddled a lot of the options for it, and the colour's nice, but man, it's going to take some getting used to.
