that sounds not fun at all. i have had various sorts of arythmia (sp?) in the past and it sucks. i hate the 'physical anxiety' that goes with it.

i think the thing they look for is actual shortness of breath and like... blue tinges to the lips etc to suggest you're not getting oxygenated blood.

of course, it would be nice if they could also give attention to how uncomfortable and not ok you are feeling!

*hugs* i hope this settles down soon.

Well, I have my scheduled appointment on Monday. Hopefully the blood tests will give some answers, and I'll know where to go from here.

Emma says I have to go easier on myself, and treat it like recovering from a bad case of the flu, or something. I feel mostly fine when I'm lying down, it's when I move about that I feel the most dreadful. So I just feel like I'm sitting around when I could be doing something useful; an erroneous but nonetheless pervasive thought.

What are your magnesium levels like? If you don't know, get your doctors to check that. Most doctors know shite about orthomolecular medicine, but it's an easy test. Here's a link you may find interesting; I hope it'll help.

*lots of hugs* Feel better soon, dearheart.

When the pathology place took the blood for testing, I know they were planning to test for a whole range of things from aenemia to thyroid issues, so I'm assuming there's a basic vitamin/mineral level test in there somewhere.

That said, I take a daily vitamin capsule which has magnesium in it, so unless something is really wacky with my system, my levels should be okay.

*accepts hugs gratefully*

Add me to all the people that have been thinking of you and hoping you get answers/feel better soon. *hugs*

Equipment woes-wise, at least they're giving you a refund on the needles. As disappointing as it is they broke, it's very very good you aren't out all that money.

I was so worried they wouldn't take them back. Just giving me store credit I could live with, because I'd just put it towards the nickel tip set KnitPicks does. But the Boye set is the same price as the nickel one, has more tips, more interchangeability, and it's been around in some form or another for decades. PLUS, it has the multi-coloured tips, which I loved about the Spectra, purely because they look good and they make it easier to keep them organised and identify the individual sizes without a knitter's gauge.

*hugs you gently*

REALLY stupid thing and it is likely to be way off base, and I'm figuring the doctors have done a big check on vitamins/minerals, but maybe check your potassium levels? Is stupid, but my Grandma has exactly what you have--and somehow the way she has been acting lately is related to her potassium levels. (In combination with other stuff.)

Sweetheart, thinking of you and hoping you can get answers quickly. Being so fatigued, and having unpleasant effects is awful :(

*hugs you tight* If you need to talk, feel more than free to email. Love you!

The fatigue is probably related to the beta-blockers. They were initially given to me to mellow out my anxiety, after all, and they've tripled the dose.

I'm guessing they're checking all the basic vitamins/minerals, but I'll be sure to find out when I go on Monday.
