Kids:  watched Jake's 2nd basketball game, and was once again impressed by their teamwork.  Great game, too - very close, but they won, 12-13.  Afterwards, played around with his christmas present from nana and papa - a metal detector.  We were lucky.  We found metal!

I don't feel like I got as much done today as yesterday, but it was a nice one all the same.  Finished the last bits of a soaker this morning, and another one this afternoon (gotta love that about basketball practice.)  Listed two of the soakers on etsy as sale/seconds items, because of a glitch in my kitchener stitch.  (that's fixed now, and, ( Read more... )

So, the first thing - that wrist warmer/glove that I'd been not entirely content with.  I picked it up today and started working on it, and after a few more rounds realized that I'd completely messed up the pattern, so I knit a few more rounds and turned it into an iPod/cellphone cozy.

that I got my act together this morning and threw some chicken and bbq sauce in the crock pot.  Because if I'd had to deal with planning dinner from scratch AND my hellion children, well, then I'd be eating out while my kids were hungry and duct taped to the walls of their rooms.

We thought the bumps were just a heat rash or bug bites, but when they started spreading, we took her to the doctor, who took one look and said "poison ivy".

Poor thing.  No wonder she's been so itchy.

I think I forgot to mention that at the last swim meet, both kids brought home a 3rd place ribbon for their age group in Freestyle.  Go kiddos!  Molly also got two medals at camp today.  I guess they had their own version of the Olympics, and she won a race and something to do with soccer, or kicking the ball ( Read more... )
