Complementary Medicine and all up in my beeswax
While I am going through my targeted therapy with pazopanib, I am also keeping an eye out for complementary and/or alternative care options. I have a sweet friend, Jule, who has offered me weekly chiropractic visits with her. Mother's Day
I have so many wonderful women in my life and it seems like a fair number of them have lost their mother at a young age. Many posted about their mothers on Mother's Day, and it left me feeling despair that my daughter would be doing the same in early middle age - noting the year when she'd had more Mother's Days without me than with ( Read more... ) -
We're moving!
At least, that's the plan. House should be on the market on August 2. Hopefully by mid August, Reil will have a job offer in the Bay Area, and the house will sell soon after, and then somehow we'll find a house to rent in the East Bay, and all will be well.

We're Debt Free!
Yes, I am shouting this from the rooftops, because it's been 4+ years and about $100,000 in the making.
And today, just after noon, we paid off the final debt in our snowball.
Our next steps are to save up an emergency fund of 6-12 months of expenses, start Roth IRAs for both of us, and get some 529s started for the kids. Then we'll look at ( Read more... ) -

Voting/Rally
We had a good time at the rally, even though we weren't able to see much due to the OMG amount of people in attendance. We saw some funny signs, had some laughs, and made our way through a generally happy and joyful crowd.
