I haven't seen the British version, but enjoyed the American one. Thinking of BBCA shows - have you seen Skins? I got thoroughly sucked in by that one

We watched about half of the first episode of Skins and just could not stomach the main guy. The manipulative one. The character was just too slimey for me to want to keep watching.
Everyone does rave about it, though.
