Back in Livejournal's heyday, I'd make some of my best friends from the suggestions of others. The "add" communities have failed me and I rarely find someone who's open to sharing their journal (reciprocating a follow). I'm way too old for those reindeer games.

I placed an order for grocery delivery last night that was scheduled from 8-9 p.m. The order was pushed to 9-11 p.m. After a 3 hour wait, my groceries were never delivered. I haven't even looked at what was released today. I'll get around to it at some point. I really enjoyed the new song that was released by Sufjan Stevens though, so I did explore new releases earlier this week.

From time to time my New Music Friday listening sessions expose me to something I'm completely unfamiliar with and it makes the time that I spend reading reviews and listening to albums worthwhile.

Laura Groves' 'Radio Red' album is a thoroughly enjoyable listen. If you dig this track, you'll love the album in its entirety.

My three days off went by faster than I'm comfortable with. I did manage to get the oil changed on my car, so it wasn't completely unproductive. While I never got around to listening to any of the new albums that were released on Friday, I did manage to add a few songs to the Best Songs of 2023 playlist.
