Am I Ever Going To See You Again?

My three days off went by faster than I'm comfortable with. I did manage to get the oil changed on my car, so it wasn't completely unproductive. While I never got around to listening to any of the new albums that were released on Friday, I did manage to add a few songs to the Best Songs of 2023 playlist.

I was a huge Wilco fan back in LiveJournal's heyday. Their 'Summerteeth' and 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' albums were two of my favorites back then. Over the years, I lost interest in the band and became a casual listener. The first single from their forthcoming album reminds me of that period. It reminds me of my ex too, so I shared it with her. "Am I ever going to see you again? I'm evicted...from your heart. I deserve it". She loved it.
