A few of you have expressed interest in the candle company that I'm helping my Aunt with. Thank you for that! As a result, I'll share things here as they unfold.
My Aunt has two kids: Autumn and Storm. I incorporated their names into the first two Red Buck Candle Co. scents that I shared on
Instagram (follow for follow if you have an account). I've always been a minimalist where graphic design is concerned, so I'm happy that's the current trend with candle labels. The jars are brown glass with black lids. I'll probably print on brown labels.
Fragrance Notes: Top - Apple, Cinnamon Clove. Middle - Pine, Juniper, Cranberry, Eucalyptus. Base - Cedar.
There are two things in play with the "Autumn Sweater" name. My cousin's first name and a favorite Yo La Tengo
song. I'm not trying to get too cute with the names, but it's fun to toss things that mean something to me into them every once in a while.
Fragrance Notes: Top - Ozone, Camphor, Citrus. Middle - Pear, Pine, Red Currant, Berry, Cherry Blossom. Base - Juniper, Sage.
The boy is far from perfect, but when I looked for an image to share on Instagram to associate with the scent, I found a photo of a male cardinal sitting in an icicle-covered tree. The name made scents...er, sense.
