I'll admit that lately I haven't thought much about boys. I can say it's because I was really busy, but the reality of it is this: I was tired of being ignored. I was tired of wanting someone so earnestly, only to be brushed aside so disparagingly. I was tired of falling for people for no reason other than to fall for someone.

It's funny, the way love (or whatever poor substitute I've managed to disguise as love for weeks now) works sometimes. It's so easy to convince yourself you're over someone, that you're done caring whether they pay attention to you. It might even work for a while, really.
