Characters: Shizuo and YOU Setting/Location: Streets of District 1 Date & Time: Day 0, Morning Warnings: Shizuo is cranky Summary: A general meet and greet! Comment spam style for ease of play.
[ OH YES, OH YES OH YES. Just what Estelle wanted as she wandered aimlessly around the district: a strange blond man in a bartender's outfit looking like he might murder someone. She has her hands clasped together as she looks around, wondering if perhaps she was really dreaming ]
[ Regardless, she was a polite young woman who was lost, and thus- without knowing any better she walks up to him and... ]
E-Excuse me! I'm so sorry to bother you, but do you... know where we are?
[A young boy steps out of the inn to look around, head tilted up, turning left and right at the surrounding area. Still staring at the skyline of the village, he starts walking backwards. Not realizing he was near a corner, his back bumps into a firm figure and loses his balance, wobbling a bit before turning around.]
[He scratches the back of his head sheeply and gives the really tall blonde man an embarrassed smile.]
Sorry about that! I guess I'm still kinda confused. Hey, are you from here? That Cid guy says we gotta find some witch lady to help us go home. How do we do that?
There was so much to worry about and take in that it was almost a relief to be confronted with someone Shirley felt compelled to talk to. It made things a little easier, to set the big picture aside and simply ask someone-
It's hard to believe one might feel compelled to talk to a towering, cranky looking man stalking through the streets muttering 'annoyedannoyedannoyed' under his breath. But at least it seems that his irritation has nothing to do with you, since he the muttering drops off and the glare eases off when he turns to her.
Oh, good; Shirley feels some of her nervousness ebb away when he turns to her. The truth is, she'd been a little scared, but she couldn't let that get in the way of someone who might need help . . . maybe.
So he was being spoken too. Shizuo nodded. "Yo." And, because it was obvious this guy didn't fit into... wherever this dream world was, continued. "A lot of foreigners getting stuck here."
Miku's been wandering around District 1 for the past half hour or so, completely and utterly lost, and unsure if she should trouble anyone by asking for information. This place seems about as easy to get lost in as the Manor of Sleep--perhaps that's just because she's new here. Alas. Either way, she's not exactly aware of where in Sleepywoods she is.
And then she spots the soggy-looking Shizuo, and the fact that she's lost takes a sideline to the fact that she's... a bit concerned about this blonde stranger. He seems upset...
"Are... you all right?"
Her voice isn't timid, but it's not ringing with confidence either. She steps forward with one hand held to her chest--hardly the body language of someone intimidating.
Once again, Shizuo is pulled away from his irritated march by kind sounding voice. It was a bit weird, and he was tempted to ignore it. In Ikebukuro people didn't approach him much unless they already knew him; his reputation kept most of the population at bay, and it was better that way.
But he wasn't cranky enough to be rude, and in this sort of situation, everyone who approached him needed help in their own way.
So he stopped and half turned toward the girl, looking over his shoulder at her.
He frowned at her and tilted his head. She didn't look like one of the locals. "I woke up where I didn't go to sleep. This isn't even Japan, maybe not even Earth. Yeah I'm pissed."
