de-aged Sulu fic

Someone wanted Kirk/Sulu with de-aged Sulu this weekend and a couple of people filled it before I finished mine, so I threw in some Chekov for good measure.

I really like de-aged fics, well, for the reasons everybody who likes them likes them probably. Kids are cute and there is like an instant recipe for sweetness. That said, this story was like that, but at the same time it was more. I liked the way you approached it, with seriousness, mentioning a specific code and Hikaru's initial reaction, his thoughts and emotions making the whole process of age regression very realistic. Also despite the cuteness of a six year old Hikaru and Kirk and Chekov bantering over him in a way that at times made them all look like the Three Stooges (never watched it, so forgive me if I am way off) the overall feeling of the story was very bittersweet. All three of them tangled up like that, hurting and getting hurt in the process. It was very touching and I don't know I'm not sure I needed the actual closure and tying up the lose ends in the last sentence, it maybe felt little bit rushed? But I don't mean to offend you in any way, because I loved the story for its depth and flawed characters. (I'm looking

Thank you for reading and for the feedback! I love de-aged fics, but yeah, I prefer for them to deal with some issues/reveal things about the adult's personality that he/she was trying to hide, and is still trying to hide, I guess, doing so less successfully as a child.

I'm glad this has a Three Stooges-esque feeling, lol (I've never seen it, either, but I know what you mean!), I guess the original idea was that it would be funny to see Kirk and Chekov scrambling for Hikaru's attention with their two different ~parenting styles~

Yeah, I figured the ending might feel a bit rushed -- this is kind of like a chunk of emotion wrapped up in a much longer fic I'm writing about the three of them, so I didn't really flesh out the romance, and I wasn't planning on ending with a ~kiss~, but then I really liked the idea that Kirk would save the picture, Sulu would see it, Kirk would know he saw it -- and then it was too sad to think of Kirk being left to feel awkward/embarrassed without Sulu making some kind of sweeping gesture. ;__;

Thank you! I love the de-aging fics for the cuddling opportunities, don't get me wrong, but also for the chance to really make the characters, as they are, into children. And yeah never underestimate children's ability to figure out how to work adult's insecurities for profit. :D :D

Pavel probably doesn't feel very good about it in this 'verse, frankly. ;__; I'LL MAKE IT BETTER IN MY NEXT FIC ABOUT THESE THREE, promise. :D

ahh, really?! I do kind of have 'hmm' moments when I'm writing about someone as a kid who is hanging around his boyfriend/crush object who is still an adult, lol, it's weird indeed.

Oh man I'm so into my next fic about these three, you don't even know, there's already a fanmix and everything. ;____;

I've only got the beginning written, like around 10K, but I plotted out the whole progress of the story yesterday and the description of what happens alone was like six pages long. D:

I loved the tension between Pavel and Jim. It's simultaneously heartbreaking and sweet. Awesome as always. ^_^

Oh, and I feel like my ovaries kind of exploded from imagining kid!Sulu lolll. XD

Thank you for reading! I think when I first started writing about these three all the tension was between Sulu and Kirk, but then Sulu kind of revealed himself to be in love with Kirk and vice versa, so Pavel is ultimately Kirk's real rival, to my mind ...

Yeah, I really love making them kids just for the pure cuddly fluff, quite frankly. :D

I enjoyed this! I liked the little competition between Kirk and Chekov, and the way Sulu's perceptions of things shifted as the fic went along.

Yes, he does!! and yes, he would ;___________; lol, but not really, CHEKOV IS THE UNDERSTANDING ONE, I think, he's more saintly than the other two in my imagination.
