I finally got Severus pinned down long enough to operate on him. That man would try the patience of a Saint, and not being a Saint, he absolute shreds mine. The ploy with the house-elves worked thankfully. I wasn't sure it would, but after several days of being "intensively cared for" he finally gave in.
