"Hi, Ty Lee," he said through a smile and ever-so-slightly gritted teeth. "What brings you here?"

"Sokka!" Ty Lee practically bounced forward to enfold Sokka in a hug, glad to see a friendly - or at least familiar and not outright hostile, not to mention rather attractive - face. After a moment, she pulled back, beaming. "I just met a talking dog-thing - I still think he might have been a spirit - who said this is a magic school! Isn't that cool?"

He took a deep breath, and added, "Oh yeah, and this place says it teaches magic, but I'm pretty sure it's just some weird kind of bending that just hasn't been well enough studied yet and is just weird in general. And there's a guy walking around with pointy ears and a tail but he looks human except for that, but he's nice enough. And there's evil people here who are not that stupid bloodbending dog thing."

"Why'd you block someone's chi? Sounds pretty painful." Or maybe it's like that just for angels. Maybe, in Ty Lee's world, people don't even realise til they try to bend.
