While waiting to get permission to visit Alfred, Gilbert decided to get some shuteye. Matthew guessed he was probably partying with Francis and Antonio last night because-though he didn't notice it earlier-he definitely had the faint smell of alcohol lingering on him ( ... )

The thought of seeing his brother must have given him newfound strength because not only was he keeping up with Gilbert; he was also out running the military enthusiast. When the two boys reached the room, both were completely out of breath and panting heavily ( ... )

Writer!Anon has returned after a week! I hope you guys enjoy this update~ <3

Matthew stared at his brother in disbelief. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. There is no way that Alfred could have possibly forgot him. He was his brother; Matthew should be the last person that Alfred forgets. Even if others didn't always remember him, Alfred always did. Maybe this was some sick joke; Alfred knew how sensitive Matthew could be over the whole invisibility issue he has due to Alfred's boisterous nature.

"Al, you're kidding, right?" Matthew asked desperately. It was bad enough his brother was hospitalized; now he has amnesia?! Alfred didn't make eye contact with Matthew at all. He turned his head the other way and looked out the window.

Matthew couldn't cry. He wouldn't cry. He had to be strong; he knew he had to. But all he wanted to do was cry and let out all his pain and anguish from today's events. It was hard enough to come to the hospital and now his brother didn't even recognize him. Matthew could see ( ... )

When they were inside, the nurse instructed Matthew to take a seat, and went off to prepare some hot chocolate. While she was in the other room, Matthew decided to look around the room. It was obvious that he was the staff lounge. There were a couple of couches in the room and a few tables with chairs as well. Matthew could see off into the distance in the corner of a room there was a locker area as well ( ... )

I'm sorry for any mistakes. It's passed 5 AM and I was up the entire day as well. Why the hell am I still up anyway? I should really be getting to bed already. XDDDDD Matthew wasn't sure how long cried, but he found his tears coming to an end. He cried a lot, and it did help him feel much better. When Matthew looked up to the nurse she had the gentlest expression on her face. Her smile carried such warmth, and it kind of reminded him of his mother's smile ( ... )

Mathew stood outside next to Alfred's hospital doorway for a few minutes, mentally preparing himself for what was about to come. The nurse stood patiently beside him, not rushing or pressuring Matthew into hurrying at all; she just stood there in silence and let Matthew do what he needed to do. When Matthew finally felt ready, he clenched his fists tightly and took a deep breath.

I can do this Matthew assured himself, and walked into the room ( ... )

I am free from school... for a brief amount of time. I actually finished this yesterday, but I was too tired to post, and I had good company over~ <3 <3 <3 After about five minutes of their silent embrace, Matthew heard a loud, obnoxious cough; no doubt from his Prussian senior, Gilbert. Matthew looked up, and sure enough he saw Gilbert making a couple more innocent coughs ( ... )

After talking to the nurses (with a bit of begging on both the twin’s part) Matthew was allowed to stay a few nights at the hospital during Alfred’s stay; Matthew received permission from Grandpa Rome to miss a few days of school in order to stay with Alfred. Gilbert attempted to stay as well with his excuse to be there for his sick friend when he needed him most, but was curtly given the big N-O, since Grandpa Rome saw right through his lie in another one of his attempts to get out of school. Before departing the hospital, Gilbert told Matthew how lucky he was to be able to miss some school, which earned him a smack in the back of the head from the nurse Elizabeth as she scolded him since Matthew wasn’t here for fun and games ( ... )
