After talking to the nurses (with a bit of begging on both the twin’s part) Matthew was allowed to stay a few nights at the hospital during Alfred’s stay; Matthew received permission from Grandpa Rome to miss a few days of school in order to stay with Alfred. Gilbert attempted to stay as well with his excuse to be there for his sick friend when he needed him most, but was curtly given the big N-O, since Grandpa Rome saw right through his lie in another one of his attempts to get out of school. Before departing the hospital, Gilbert told Matthew how lucky he was to be able to miss some school, which earned him a smack in the back of the head from the nurse Elizabeth as she scolded him since Matthew wasn’t here for fun and games.

During the first night of Matthew’s stay, Alfred was extremely restless and would constantly be making moaning and grunting noises while tossing and turning in his sleep. Alfred finally seemed to calm down when Matthew awoke and calmed him down, joining him under the covers in the bed, hugging him tightly assuring Alfred that everything was going to be all right.

The next morning Matthew and Alfred were in for a rude awakening by a grouchy nurse, who yelled at Matthew for sleeping in the bed with a patient and to get out of the bed at once. Matthew didn’t need to be told twice as he immediately jumped out of the bed with the most petrified look, and apologized countless times to the nurse. Before Matthew could apologize anymore, Elizabeth came by and ushered the grouchy nurse away.

On the second night Alfred wasn’t as restless, but he was still far from being quiet. This time Matthew didn’t join him in the bed (in order to be saved from the wrath of the nurse from hell) and just cupped his hands around Alfred’s and just offered him words of comfort throughout the night until he calmed down completely, and the only sound Alfred made was deep steady even breaths, and Matthew soon followed suit.

This time when Matthew awoke it wasn’t to any angry nurses. He slowly opened his eyes, noticing his hands were still cupping Alfred’s, who was still sound asleep. He gently got up, making sure not to move the bed too much in order to continue to let Alfred sleep. Matthew walked over to the window and looked out at the big blue sky, which still had specks of orange and pink, remnants from the sunrise.

“What’cha lookin’ at?” Matthew heard from behind in a groggily voice. He turned around to see Alfred sitting up and rubbing his eyes, trying to focus his attention on him.

“Nothing much, just looking outside,” Matthew replied. “I didn’t wake you, did I?”

“No, the sun did,” Alfred answered.

“Hello boys,” Elizabeth said entering the room. The twins look up to the direction of the now repaired door, to see Elizabeth with a tray of food. She placed the tray of food on the overbed table, and set it up in front of Alfred. “Breakfast is served Mr. Jones.”

“Thank you,” Alfred replied.

“Mr. Williams come with me to the cafeteria, so we can get you some food as well,” Elizabeth said.

“I’m really not all that-“ Matthew started to say only to be interrupted by his stomach growling, and Elizabeth simply laughed, and grabbed Matthew’s hand.

“I think your stomach begs to differ,” Elizabeth smiled. “Come along now. We don’t have all day.”

Matthew complied and went with Elizabeth and followed her to the cafeteria. Where they had an extensive assortment of varies breakfast food.

"Is there anything you want in particular?" Elizabeth asked.

Matthew looked around the cafeteria a bit to see if there was anything that he recognized. He saw an assortment of cereal, and cultural dishes, which probably had to do with being in such a culturally diverse neighborhood as well as World Academy being not that far from the hospital as well.

"Do you have pancakes here?" Matthew asked.

"We most certainly do," Elizabeth smiled. "Straight ahead and to the right there is a cook. Just tell him what you want and he'll make it for you."

"Thanks a lot," Matthew said gratefully.

"No problem at all. I'm going to be around this area, so when you're done just come back here and we'll go sit down and eat," Elizabeth smiled.

"Ok," Matthew replied, and ran off to the direction Elizabeth told him to get his pancakes.

Writer!Anon is fail. I’m so sorry. I got so busy, and then got writers block then got busy again, and I shouldn’t be working on this now since I have this big masquerade competition this weekend with a friend at a convention (which could win me a trip to Japan with her, but we'll put that aside for now), but since it’s been a month I figured I should at least put something up.

I promise to update again soon. I've begun typing up part 9 already. If we're lucky and I get motivated enough I can whip it out by the end of the day since I was suppose to go out today to get a haircut and finish up cosplay shopping and such for this weekend, but my mom left without giving me money.

Thanks for reading and being so patient for an update guys. I should work on the other fills I have too now. >.>
