The durian challenge

Two weeks ago, I watched Chef Andrew (host of Bizarre Foods of Asia) and Tony Bourdain (No Reservations) eat a Southeast Asian fruit called durian on their respective shows on the Travel Channel, and I've been fiending for one since. So yesterday after dim sum in Chinatown, I scored not one, but two (one fresh, one frozen)!

There's no doubt that Jersey City will forever live in the shadows of the world's greatest city across the Hudson, but once in a while (and trust me, this happens so seldom that I must devote an entire blog entry to it) we have some pretty cool shit around here that New York doesn't have.
