Dojo (open)

Wesker's not quite practicing, but he's not quite relaxing either. It was somewhere in between since it helped him focus but it was also good to keep your body in shape. Muscle memory was important, too. He was getting bored again and even though he had protection with some influential people, he wanted to do what he enjoyed doing. Research. ( Read more... )

It had been a while since Michael had been working as a bouncer/medic for the local version of Fight Club, but it had been satisfying in its way. He'd started spending some time training as well. Granted, becoming a hybrid had given him tremendous physical power, agility, and stamina, but skills were another matter.

He'd go to the dojo to do some basic balancing exercises when he saw the familiar figure at work.

Stepping over, the hybrid waited until Wesker paused for a moment. "Looking good, boss."

"Have to keep up appearances."

He turns and smirks to Michael. Wesker usually holds back in public. It's not an advantage if the enemy knows everything you're capable of.

"If you're going for 'mild-mannered executive', I have to say that you're kind of missing it." Michael chuckled. He'd gotten used to Wesker's Cool reserve, somewhere between Harvard MBA and Special Forces.

"You want to go a few rounds?" The hybrid glanced over at the sparring ring. "I promise I won't sue you for employee abuse if you kick my ass."

It was also true that Michael's condition made him a lot more durable than most - much less likely to end up in the hospital as a result.

The hybrid had the feeling, though, that Wesker rarely so much as injured unintentionally. Control was at the heart of the man's personality.

He smirked just enough to show he was amused. He liked sparring and with Michael it would interesting although he wished he could use his full strength to see what the hybrid was fully capable of.

"Sure. I always enjoy your skills."

The dojo was not Draco's usually stomping ground, but he had been curious for some time now. When one was stuck in a pocket universe for year, eventually nothing would ever be truly new. Plus fighting was attractive to the wizard - otherwise he wouldn't frequent the Underground. Speaking of which...

"I don't think I've ever seen you fight before," Draco spoke with amusement as he leaned against the wall nearest the room's entrance.

He punched, palm open, to one of the 'arms' of the dummy and purposefully put enough power behind it for the arm to fly off, splinters going everywhere.

Wesker likes to show off.

"Wouldn't want to scare off my customers."

He smiles wryly as he turned to look in Draco's direction. His eyes always hidden by dark sunglasses.

That was something they had common. Draco chuckled and repaired the dummy with a wand flick.

"Or have to kill the stupid ones," he added. "You really shouldn't break your toys, though."

"Sometimes breaking them is the most fun." He might be talking about other 'toys' too, though he didn't have any here. Alice wasn't quite one anymore since he had little control over her here.

He moved over to get some water. It's an act mostly for show. He takes a long drink, then looks back to Draco. "How are you, Draco?"

Khan walked into the dojo, eye quickly appraising everything within, first Wesker then other people, finally items and exits.

His gaze returned to Wesker as the man practiced.

He was aware of the eyes. Wesker's always aware when people are watching, but equally so when that person is new. The man watching is interesting, certainly. He carries himself in a dominating way.

He finishes his routine without revealing too much about his power, though calculating enough to make sure he communicated he was skillful. Once finished, Wesker goes to his water and drinks from it even though he doesn't really need it.

"An interesting collage of styles," Khan remarked, walking towards Wesker. "Reasonably well executed."

His comment actually reassured Wesker he got the desired result.

"Thank you." His voice was calm and collected and his eyes hidden by dark shades.

"It's important to continue training while in the village."

As if he had more to learn.

I do not usually go to the dojo, preferring to practice on my own at my 'sword tree' in the woods. Still, there has been something I've wondered on for a while and I seemed to have chosen a good day to come in and ask a question or two. The man practicing is very skilled.

Is wearing modern clothing but has knife in boot.

It's easy for Wesker to tell Faramir's more 'old school'. How much, it's hard to tell, but the way he holds himself was indicative as such.

Once he's finished, he moved to get a drink of water not that he really needed it.

When he stops to get some water, I step forward.

"Hello. Do you work here?" I am guessing so, as he not only seems comfortable, but has no instructor. I suppose he could be practicing alone, but I see no one else about at all.

Faramir doesn't know that he still walks like a man used to carrying a sword at his hip.

"I'm afraid I don't." His words are smooth and calculated as he regards the man from behind dark sunglasses.
