Dojo (open)

Wesker's not quite practicing, but he's not quite relaxing either. It was somewhere in between since it helped him focus but it was also good to keep your body in shape. Muscle memory was important, too. He was getting bored again and even though he had protection with some influential people, he wanted to do what he enjoyed doing. Research. ( Read more... )

The dojo was not Draco's usually stomping ground, but he had been curious for some time now. When one was stuck in a pocket universe for year, eventually nothing would ever be truly new. Plus fighting was attractive to the wizard - otherwise he wouldn't frequent the Underground. Speaking of which...

"I don't think I've ever seen you fight before," Draco spoke with amusement as he leaned against the wall nearest the room's entrance.

He punched, palm open, to one of the 'arms' of the dummy and purposefully put enough power behind it for the arm to fly off, splinters going everywhere.

Wesker likes to show off.

"Wouldn't want to scare off my customers."

He smiles wryly as he turned to look in Draco's direction. His eyes always hidden by dark sunglasses.

That was something they had common. Draco chuckled and repaired the dummy with a wand flick.

"Or have to kill the stupid ones," he added. "You really shouldn't break your toys, though."

"Sometimes breaking them is the most fun." He might be talking about other 'toys' too, though he didn't have any here. Alice wasn't quite one anymore since he had little control over her here.

He moved over to get some water. It's an act mostly for show. He takes a long drink, then looks back to Draco. "How are you, Draco?"

Draco watched him. The man was a bit of a mystery, but Draco liked him.

"A little more bored than usual," he said with a shrug. "Can't complain otherwise. And you?"

"The same as you. It seems this summer is even more boring than usual." He preferred the years when the village seemed bent on destroying them. Gave him something to do.

"Hence my dojo curiosity and your sweaty pummeling," he said with a grin. "Though it is nice not having some filthy psycho trying to gnaw my jugular out or stab me in the stomach. More or less."

"But a few more episodes of dinosaurs might be amusing." Truth be told, he was a bit bored with that after a while, but he's not going to admit he likes it when things are threatening to gnaw or stab.

Threatening was fine, but Draco didn't like it when they landed a blow or stab. Maybe it was a pride thing.

"That was...interesting. Definitely something I haven't seen before."

"Is there something you'd like to see?" He looked toward him, interested. He's sure the wizard had seen some interesting things, even back home.

"Hmm." Draco tilted his head in thought. "That's a good question. I think I've so gotten used to things just happening that I haven't really thought about what I'd like. Not counting the sappy things, or the darker amusements rolling around my mind, I think I'd like to see a real Quidditch match again - the longer and more brutal the better. And with plenty of butterbeer and mascots taking cheap shots at one another."

Sigh. The simple pleasures in life.

"But I could probably settle with seeing what's worth hiding behind those sunglasses of yours," he said with an impish grin.

He grinned although it was more like a smirk, thoroughly amused by the comment and a little intrigued. He let his eyebrow lift just slightly.

"Do you really want to see?"

"I always want to see," he answered with his own unique brand of smirk. "If your eyes manage to surprise jaded-old-me, I'll...I don't know. You could choose."

Wesker always wanted to impress people even if it came off as if he couldn't care less. It was probably in most people's nature.

"You make it quite tempting... I imagine not a lot of things surprise you anymore."

"Not really no. Every once in a while something manages to catch me by surprise though," Draco said. "Are you actually blind? Or is there a different reason?"

He was amused to find out Draco assumed he was blind. That would be fascinating if a blind man could move like him.

"Were I blind, perhaps I could see the world better."

There's something profound for Draco.

"It's a different reason. Maybe if we find ourselves away from prying eyes some time, I will be inclined to share the secret." He may be comfortable showing Draco, but the dojo was too public.
