Aibileen's not really sure what gave her the idea for boiling enough food for a hundred or so people. Lord knows, she spent enough time cooking for people and serving them too. But the difference, she's found, is that no one expects it, people help, and people enjoy it. She's got good friends here, and really isn't trying to leave any time soon.

She soon got some food and sat down in the grass, eating delicately. She felt a bit shy, but liked to people-watch, enjoying hearing snippets of other people's conversations.

"Hi!" Then he immediately gets shy and ducks his head, little dimples showing.
