My screen name is, obviously, Gabriel Syme. This is from an old book published early in the 20th century by G.K. Chesterson. Who wrote a book called "The Man Who Was Thursday".  This book's protagonist goes by the name of Gabriel Syme who we find, at the end of the book, is actually the Angel Gabriel. Don't cut things if you are drunk.  It hurts.  

 Just had the second of at least two earthquakes today. First one was at 7am and woke me the hell up. Not cool Earth. Seemed like a decent sized one too.

Second just a bit ago while watching Mad Men.

They're more annoying than anything else. They keep saying that the 'Big One' could hit Tokyo at anytime. Thankfully I only live on the second floor. 

Got that paper done. Eight dang pages and 2,506 words talking about Sino-Japanese relations in the 1990's with over 20 references. I wanted to call it Economic Interdependence and Atomic Bombs but decided that was overly exciting a paper title. Up yours 10 page final! I have 22 hours to write this paper, and then I am completely finished with this semester.

Let's get it done! 

Going on a 3 day long trip to Gunma prefecture from January 8th to the 10th. I'm up for some snowboarding, and Chika is going to try her hand at skiing. The hotel and the surrounding area also have onsen. This is going to be fantastic! Get beat up by the volcanic mountain during the day, and then relax in the onsen during the night.

Mailed off my absentee ballot today. I was pretty impressed that it came so quickly, more than a month before the election. I'm hoping my stupid state, Florida, can redeem itself this year.

Okay so my index finger looks like it has a pretty deep cut, but it is doing fine. I initially bled quite a bit though so that was less then pleasant. Keeping a bandage on it for the next few days. I cut my index finger opem kast nught trying to opem a can of chili beans, without a can opener. Blood gushed out everywhere. Typing is now ridiculously difficult. Thinking of going to the hospital. Cans are just a terrubke inventuin.
