Today's plan is to travel down to Kanagawa-ken to help Chika bring some things up to my apartment. She's bringing the Christmas Cake and a bottle of champagne.
Today's dinner consists of:
a Cobb Salad, made by me, and is a proper one based on the original Brown Derby recipe
a pumpkin stew, made by Chika, with potato and onions
and finally a Christmas Cake which is something of a Japanese tradition.
Japanese don't realize that Americans have no idea what Christmas Cake is. Also, Santa Claus is known as Santa-san (Mr. Santa!) The cake is coming from Chika's parent's convenience store. I'm sure it will be brilliant.
Presents, for her, consist of a book on North American birds which plays their respective songs. The more prestigious gift is a watch created by Coach.
