I was thinking about having an Open Thread maybe once a month (first Friday of every month?), but we'll see how it goes biweekly. (I just checked and the other Open Thread was only eight posts ago, lol.)
Again, this is a free-for-all thread. Throw out your questions, random thoughts, inspirational quotes, fun facts, what-have-you. Please keep it

I've been specifically addicted to "Maybe This Time" recently. It's like every number from Cabaret was written to be a showstopper, and it certainly stopped Glee for a moment. Besides the amazing Liza edition, I also discovered a gorgeous version by Julie Andrews! But the Glee version was great for so many reasons, too many to list ( ... )

Pop music I do like is The-Dream. He's the guy who wrote "Umbrella" and "Single Ladies" in case you're not familiar.

Other youtubes I've watched today:
Some guy named Cziffra playing the piano

A japanese funk band named Date Course Royal Pentagon

LOL, "Poker Face." I don't think I actually like that song. I think I smirked at it more than anything else. It didn't help that it was so overplayed--and this coming from someone who doesn't listen to the radio all that much. I think I heard it way too many times on a long drive we did. *shakes head*
The Cziffra clip was absolutely insane. I wish I had an ounce of that talent. The DCPRG (?) clip was so mellow; saxophone is probably my sexy brass/woodwind instrument of choice.
In exchange, have some Yo Yo Ma playing "Libertango." <3 (ROFL, I'm amused that this is taken from a Korean program since there's Korean at the beginning.) And his fascinating Silk Road Project.

Thanks for sharing DCPRG. I'm interested now.
But holy crap, Cziffra. With any instrument, you have your contest winners, and then on a step up you have your touring soloists, and then waaaaay above that you have your virtuosos. Dayum.
In the piano vein, Hiromi Uehara: she writes her own music with a lot of experimentation, and can seriously key-mash.

You want pictures of puppies? Hm... I could provide you with pic of my dog, but she is not puppy anymore. Actually her looks tend to make people pee their pants during encounters... so no, no picture for you ;D. But neighbors' kitten is cute... and still alive ;P

There's something about Hyo and a ponytail that just CLICKS.

With the "Winfrah Oprey" section though, were they saying she just messes up her words, or is it that she purposely twists things around, like a Korean spoonerism? My friends and I get a kick out of saying english words with bizarre but empirical pronunciations(like how 'ghoti' could be pronounced 'fish', but in reverse), and it works particularly well when spouting nonsense, so it would explain why she does it so often and why it always gets a great reaction from the other members.

I don't know if Hyo does it intentionally. I have the feeling that it's really just a tongue-tied thing, especially with foreign words. Like the time she said to Sunny, "The grapes are eating you?" instead of "You're eating grapes?" SooYoung likes to tease Hyo a lot about needing to learn Korean all over again. Intentional or not, the others love it. If it's unintentional, it gives the others a lot to tease Hyo about. In the last Hello Baby episode Hyo said "campfight(er?)" instead of "campfire" and it made me smile hearing her say it in a real situation.
