Open Thread 2 + Pic Spam
I was thinking about having an Open Thread maybe once a month (first Friday of every month?), but we'll see how it goes biweekly. (I just checked and the other Open Thread was only eight posts ago, lol.)
Again, this is a free-for-all thread. Throw out your questions, random thoughts, inspirational quotes, fun facts, what-have-you. Please keep it clean(ish) and polite.
Oh, and I've wanted to say this for a while: People have occasionally apologized for "jumping in on conversations." I don't mind; in fact, I like it when people talk to each other and not just to me. I'm not sure how everyone else feels about that, but I'm all for it.
To spice up this Open Thread, here is a pic spam with a few of my fave Hyo/SNSD pics. Feel free to post your fave pics as well as any manner of awesome/cute things you enjoy (puppies, kittens, and other cute baby animals are highly encouraged). Please use thumbnails and don't spam with too many gifs. My browser doesn't like me when there are too many gifs.

So many things going right here: over-the-shoulder back shot, chic jeans + vest look over a simple white tee (is that a wife beater?), hair pulled up, glasses, iPod lol, and something Hyo admitted about her body: shoulder dimple!

ETA 2: YAY! SSF subbed Shim Shim Ta Pa! . . . And I was so off with my guesses as to what was going on re: everything! ROFL. I apologize for that but do give it a watch; the talks are a lot of fun and the atmosphere is very comfortable. The things they discuss on SSTP are things that they don't really bring up anywhere else. I can see how Nicole would thank HyoYeon for food now; if Hyo always feels the responsibility of being "unnie," she must try to insist on paying for Nicole's meals too.
ETA on Sunday/weekend roundup: Biweekly didn't work out so well but we managed not to talk about SNSD so much! But no one wanted to pic spam? Noted. Lots of music and anime and manga suggestions in the comments for those interested.
I finished Monster by Urasawa Naoki this weekend. I DON'T EVEN WHAT HOW COULD IT ARGH MY HEAD. . . . It's given me many thoughts to stew on that I may or may not write about.
AG said: "H!P really de-ages their idols." Yup. I checked and had to wrap my mind around this: Michishige Sayumi and Tanaka Reina were born in 1989, the same year that TaeYeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, HyoYeon, and YuRi were born in. Sayumi and Reina need to escape their images.
Hyo apparently got her driver's license. There was a rumor quite a while ago about Tiffany, YuRi, and HyoYeon studying for their driver's license, but kevcozha said that Hyo mentioned getting hers in "Hello Baby" X-File ep. 20. And she did mention it @3:46. Right before SeoHyun noticed the handcuffs. LOL (HYOTAE! CP provided even more HyoTae.)
I swore I wrote a post about the first 12 Kingdoms novel: Sea of Shadow by Fuyumi Ono once upon a time. Did I not? I'm thinking about rereading it since 12 Kingdoms came up in the anime discussions. Flipping through the paperback English translation, the illustrations of Rakushun make me want to pet him. Sadly, I read Nemi's copy of the second book (all about the drama of Tai), Sea of Wind. Must acquire own copy. 12 Kingdoms/Juuni Kokki anime opening song: epic, Y/Y? *GASP* The third book is out in translation--from the cover, En drama?! . . . I need it.
As a rule, it's probably better to not read one's fangirly post from 3-4 years ago. I just generally advise this to all people. I don't even remember writing most of the posts in my archives. D:
