I was thinking about having an Open Thread maybe once a month (first Friday of every month?), but we'll see how it goes biweekly. (I just checked and the other Open Thread was only eight posts ago, lol.)

I don't mind people posting whatever wherever. I think some people feel like they need to stay on-topic though, so an open thread is a good place to ask questions, share other thoughts (not related to SNSD since my blog is so SNSD these days), and whatnot ( ... )

Lol, most of this thread with be sharing our current music.(Classical music, big band jazz, showtunes, random soundtracks, Apop remixes/mashups) XD
I've been specifically addicted to "Maybe This Time" recently. It's like every number from Cabaret was written to be a showstopper, and it certainly stopped Glee for a moment. Besides the amazing Liza edition, I also discovered a gorgeous version by Julie Andrews! But the Glee version was great for so many reasons, too many to list ( ... )

Oh, and beautiful Hyo pictures are beautiful. The Key Ring photo is like "...and this same person wore those neon pink leggings? XD"

Speaking of "Maybe This Time", Not too long ago I was listening to all the Kristin Chenoweth songs I love to hear her sing. <3 I love Dianna Agron's "You Keep Me Holding On" off the soundtrack. I'm disappointed they didn't put the mash ups on volume 1.

Lady Gaga actually writes music? Huh. Learn something new everyday.

I went through a period of time when I had transitioned out of manga in favor of American comics, mostly Marvel and DC but also some independent titles (Y the Last Man, Sandman, Fables just to mention the serials and not the graphic novels like American-Born Chinese and whatever else I was getting my hands on). I've pretty much read all of Birds of Prey until the issues where Simone left the book. Same with Runaways until BKV left it (damn him). I read a lot of DC titles and stalked a bunch of characters through titles. I was partial to my childhood love of X-Men too, but it's to hard to blindly jump into any X-Man book. I was reading First Class <3 and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. Actually I'd read most of Ultimate X- ( ... )

Anyway, FMA has only gotten better!? Claymore as well!? Both of them having me on the edge of my seat. :o Soul Eater as well, which for some reason reminds me very strongly of the Kingdom Hearts game I mentioned before. Seriously, I don't know if you've heard of or looked twice at that series but the entire storey was just like a big epic tearjerker. Utada Hikaru did an amazing job with the themes and acted as my first bridge to jpop. <3 ( ... )

Making text linksI'm a big fan of immediate gratification, so my attention tends to wane as I have to wait month-to-month, or week-to-week with anime. I love Arakawa and I'm sure I'll give FMA a proper read at some point but I think my interest has pretty much gone on Claymore. I have not read Soul Eater ( ... )
