I was thinking about having an Open Thread maybe once a month (first Friday of every month?), but we'll see how it goes biweekly. (I just checked and the other Open Thread was only eight posts ago, lol.)
Again, this is a free-for-all thread. Throw out your questions, random thoughts, inspirational quotes, fun facts, what-have-you. Please keep it

Look into my eyes.
If I knew how to bold on LJ I would.
Anyway, FMA has only gotten better!? Claymore as well!? Both of them having me on the edge of my seat. :o Soul Eater as well, which for some reason reminds me very strongly of the Kingdom Hearts game I mentioned before. Seriously, I don't know if you've heard of or looked twice at that series but the entire storey was just like a big epic tearjerker. Utada Hikaru did an amazing job with the themes and acted as my first bridge to jpop. <3
...Aside from Inuyasha.
That, and oddly enough, I have a friend in Spain who, during his spontaneous appearances online (He signed on two weeks ago after being gone for literally a full year. .-. ) told me about "Monster". It's the manga where there are two killers who are having some manner of contest in order to raise a demon, right? Or am I way the hell off? Lol He only mentioned the loose plot and something about sex in the snow. I've only vaguely heard of Chrono Crusade but only because I think it may remind me of a game I used to play on my old-old-old dreamcast system, when I had no memory card and had to leave it on for a whole week to finish Sonic. D:>
That, and I used to love Sean Kingston's music when he first came out lol, but it seems he hasn't been able to recapture that brief magic he had before. Jojo I remember also did a pretty nice cover of his song, but more importantly it reminds me of the Pre-HotAssMess version of Lil Mama. I remember I used to be rooting for her so many since she really could/can dance and I liked her music but then...things just went downhill fast and my soul hasn't been quite the same since.
As far as Lady Gaga, I think it's interesting to note how drastically her image has changed. She was looking quite "normal" when I saw her on the old MTV show "Boiling Points". I LOL'd when I saw that a couple After School members covered Poker Face, which reminds me:
Their leader appears to be a pretty badass dancer. It's a shame they've had so little success outside of the first section of this year though so Gahee's not had much time to shine but I hear they're making a comeback.
MaMa Awards: A few interesting highlights, but overall definitely not worth staying up until 5AM to stream. D: D: D: The Orchestral version of BEG's "Sign" was really pretty and made me wish they'd just axe the now less than stellar choreo and do the entire song like that. Ivy had a rather ~*steamy*~ set with 2PM's Nickhun which segued nicely into their performance, but I lololol'd@JYP being so ballsy and getting on stage knowing good and well the crowd only wanted he-who-we-cannot-name. The 2NE1 musical was kind of cool as well, but I wow'd@the girl group rappers performing of a Lil Mama beat. Lip gloss. Seriously?
Also <3 Thanks for the birfday shoutout lol. This playa is now about to take his aged ass to bed. DD: 1990 was so long ago~

I'm a big fan of immediate gratification, so my attention tends to wane as I have to wait month-to-month, or week-to-week with anime. I love Arakawa and I'm sure I'll give FMA a proper read at some point but I think my interest has pretty much gone on Claymore. I have not read Soul Eater.
I've also never played Kingdom Hearts. The last Square/Squeenix game I played was . . . Final Fantasy VIII? I still wish Xenogears hadn't run over budget; being young and impressionable, all the Biblical and mythological play and allusions were delightful to me.
Re: "Monster." Not quite. The basic story is that one night in 1986 a brilliant Japanese brain surgeon working in Germany decides to defy his director's orders to operate on the mayor and instead saves the life of a boy who came into the ER sooner. Unfortunately, after that a string of murders and other bizarre incidences begin to occur and, ten years later after another murder, the brain surgeon, Dr. Kenzo Tenma, looks like the prime suspect. Dr. Tenma goes on the run as a fugitive looking for the one behind an escalating kill count, that boy he saved whom everyone seems to consider a "monster." Along that journey, he discovers more and more about what shaped this horrifying person. That boy's twin sister also becomes involved in the search (independently) and the plot gets more and more complicated as things go on. It's a psychological, moral, and ethical clusterfuck. There are many interesting themes that I'm still mulling over.
Ah, Dreamcast. Memories. Though not as memories~~ as the NES and Sega Genesis games. Man, not too long ago I was remembering how my cousin had Sega Channel and we used to play that. And Gunstar Heroes. Oh, Gunstar Heroes. <3
I never even heard of Lil' Mama before I watched ABDC. I sitll have no clue as to her music except "G-Slide," which Kaba Modern had to choreograph a piece to.
After School is coming back again soon with new members. People know of them at least. Better than being doomed to obscurity right from the get-go.
Jaebeom can be named here. I have nothing invested in him. I'm surprised to see Lil' Mama being covered because, again, I have no idea about her musical discography.
I hope you have a good birthday. =)
