Question about Meredith's house?

A house that stately surely has a master bathroom attached to the master bedroom which I assume Meredith occupies. That doesn't preclude her from hanging out in the other bathroom with Izzie and George.

That's not actually true around here ... it's old enough that it's likely it just has one up, one down. Now, it could have been renovated - but I admit I was surprised by the bathtub scenes this season! (Also surprised by the sheer size of the bathroom previously, like where Izzie was on the floor, etc, so I'm guessing it's not a very realistic floorplan for that house!).

they could have gotten a hotel room to get away from everyone... that hotel everyone has been checking into is really nice... nice enough to have a bathtub with legs

Yeah that is what I assumed. I just remember shower scenes with her in the one with the shower stall/tub... not the nice tub from the season 3 scenes. But I always assumed it was a big house because I remember Izzie saying something about it.

The bath was in an ensuite to Meredith's room. No shower in there though. Just the bath.
Presumably, the other bathroom that we always see in the main bathroom in the house, and I would guess that there might be just a toilet downstairs, but who knows.

That makes sense. Cause I always see a doorway on the far side of Mer's room, but she never really went in there. Plus I thought I remembered Derek going into the "normal" bathroom too. But it definitely makes sense she'd have one in there.

I always wonder about stuff like that on shows, too. It would be so much easier if we had a more complete view of the house. I'm guessing there are two bathrooms and the one we usually see if the bigger one which they use more. But if Meredith had her own master bath, how would you explain those scenes in season one when she locks herself into the bathroom to escape during stressful moments with Izzie and George?
I guess we'll just have to keep watching....

Well she grew up in that house..so she prob always used the bathroom that we see Izzie/George using.. plus if the master bathroom only has the bathtub it's understandable that she would use the other one for showers etc...

Haha yes! I knew there were more moments with Mer in the "regular" bathroom, I just couldn't think of them offhand.
