1. Yesterday, I began the second piece for Sirenia Digest #51, and wrote 1,011 words. I think I'm liking it. It was inspired by something I saw at Beavertail on Sunday. Also, Vince is working on an illustration for "The Eighth Veil," so the issue is coming together, and should be out before the end of February ( Read more... )

The steampunk book looks excellent.

As always, the pictures are beautiful. The pictures of the rockweed are especially good, they make me miss the ocean so much.

I believe that particular horror was the work of Pocket's marketing department. Which doesn't make the grapefruit spoon any less necessary.

The only beaches I've ever stood upon that impressed me more than New England's were along the coast of Oregon.

am pleased to see photos of a site the characters visited this morning.

Very good. Yep, we were maybe a hundred yards north of where Constance and Sarah had that first kiss.

That's salt marsh, so not much Fucus but many horseshoe crabs.

I do love the horseshoe crabs.
