I᾿ve never been one for serious BDSM, so I’m actually a little surprised at how jaded I am towards bondage porn.

Gay bondage porn, anyway.  I’m still a bit too protofeminist to have much appreciation for women who like to submit in BDSM scenes, whether to men or to other women.

So first, Meryl Streep played all of Kathleen Chalfant’s roles in Angels in America, and now she’s playing the Cherry Jones role in Doubt.  After playing Clarissa in The Hours, I can’t help but wonder if Meryl is trying to tell us something, though I don’t know what.

As a lyricist, William Finn leaves a lot to be desired.

Okay, I feel tragic.

Most of these people are young enough to be my kids, and this show originally opened on Broadway when I was about -4 months old…
