How do YOU prepare for cold temperatures?

Mostly I thank the lord that I have never lived any farther north than Virginia.

STAY WARM

I generally huddle underneath a blanket and whine. Or whenever I do have to venture out I layer up as much as I can and run like hell to/from my car, still whining. Whining is pretty much a given. ;)

DANG. And I thought it was cold waiting for the school bus this morning. (27°F/-3°C w/ windchill: 16°F/-9°C)

I layer copiously. And sugarsicons made me a FANTASTICALLY LOOOOOOOOONG scarf. :D I can wrap that bad boy around three or four times and STILL have about 8-12 inches hanging on each side.

I also have a Very Warm Coat. It's long and dark brown leather with a completely fake fur lining. Only thing about it I don't like is the fur CLINGS to whatever I'm wearing and makes the shirt or sweater ride up. Really badly. But it's warm and as long as I keep it zipped and tied, nobody knows my sweater is bunched up to my boobs. XD

Jesus! It never gets that cold in England. Last week, it was -10 and you'd think we were experiencing another Ice Age, the way we were going on.

Today, I had on a thick coat, a jumper, a t-shirt, a scarf and would have had gloves if I hadn't lost them. And it's 7 degrees! I'm such a wimp.
