Yesterday was a good day in the fact that I got a lot done. I managed to get the bookcase together and put all the books, which had still been in boxes, in it. So at least everything is unpacked now, which gives you a true feeling of homeliness ( Read more... )

I got out Inside man yesterday, with Denzel Washington. Was a great film, really enjoyed it. Went to the hair dressers yesterday and am quite happy with it, it is a bit under my ears now and my fringe comes to my eyebrows. In a few weeks it will be exactely the way I want it, cause it is a bit too short for me at the moment!

Just started this new book today called The American boy. It is a fictional book in which  they years in which Edgar Allen Poe was in England, attending a school a re-constructed. The last couple of days we have had temperatures of 44 to 46, it has been extremely hot and it won't cool down. At night it is still between 32 and 35 and it is difficult to sleep. Waking up because you're too hot and that sort of thing. I hope it will become bearable soon though because especially T. can't really deal with it. He is up all night ( Read more... )

Got up really early today to take Freddy to the beach with me, unfortunately the car woldn't start! So I ended up taking him for a long walk through the village and the mountain before heading back home. It is cool enough to do that inthe morning, otherwise he gets too hot. It was my father and brother's birthdays this week and I managed to ge tthem some nice gifts which arrived in time, together with the birthday cards. I'm happy about that, since you never know how long the  mail takes from here.

My (very short) trip to Holland was good. I arrived with a delay on Tuesday and we drove home to have some pasta in front of the tv since my dad wanted to see England v Sweden. Luckily England won!
