(no subject)
The last couple of days we have had temperatures of 44 to 46, it has been extremely hot and it won't cool down. At night it is still between 32 and 35 and it is difficult to sleep. Waking up because you're too hot and that sort of thing. I hope it will become bearable soon though because especially T. can't really deal with it. He is up all night and sleeps most of the day, I try to et up really early and just work through till it gets too much and then take a break. I feel sorry for all the old people here because it is just dangerous in this heat for them.
I'm taking care of my neighbours' plants since they are on holiday for 2 months. Only they didn't give me the key, ut made a sort of construction whereby I put on my terrace tap and the water is sort of guided to their garden below. I can't see when the plants have had enough water, so we arranged to give them water every three days for 10 minutes. I hope it is enough, it is so hot. On the other hand, they told me not too give too much otherwise the roots will start rotting. Why didn't they just give me the key. I feel all responsible and jittery now about those plants and on whether they will live or die.
Already trying to think ahead what to do for T.'s birthday this year. We can't really go away, but want to have a nice day planned for him. Besides, I'll probably need to order presents online since there is not too much choice here in the shops and it takes time to deliver. I really hope we're gone by the time it is my birthday, but still no news on the paperwork.
