WOW.

Well, femgenficathon has been open for signups for about 14.5 hours, we're on the fourth page, and a lot of the quotations have already been double-claimed.

I'm thrilled to see how enthusiastic everyone is, and I hope this will be the best year yet.

FemGen will NOT be starting on April 2 this year; my hard drive is down, courtesy of a vicious virus called Vista Anti-Spyware 2011. The hard drive is in the shop, but at the moment,running the ficathon is not an option. I was considering starting a bit later this year because a couple of other fests are starting prompt claims around the same time ( Read more... )

I have to promote a couple of things that are incredibly good ideas:

misscam is thinking of a multifandom ficathon where the girl would get to save the guy. Romance is not necessarily involved (though it can be--it's just not a requirement), and the woman can save the guy by any means--intelligence, cunning, application of a particular talent, physical ( Read more... )

There is a fantastic ficathon going on now--partly in comments and partly in signups--called the Awesome Ladies Ficathon. The premise is pretty simple. Given the nature of the ficathon, the prompts and the fics need to focus on a woman. You can check out the ficathon in the links below.
