Garrett didn’t respond attempts to bring him out the trance. “C’mon, Garrett, listen to my voice,” Wyatt said, looking around as if to find help come out of nowhere. He shook Garrett again with more force than his previous attempts and this time, it worked.
Garrett blinked and then stared at Wyatt with a far-away look in his eyes. “You with me, Garrett?” Wyatt asked moving his head from side to side as if that would help Garrett’s eyes to focus.
“Huh? What?” Garrett asked confused. Reality was slowly coming back to him and his reaction was to the brightness surrounding him. He lifted his hand to shield his eyes from the bright suns overhead. He was no longer in the cave, but worse, Wyatt was a witness to one of his bizarre episodes. How was he going to cover this up?
“You okay? You had me nervous there for a moment,” Wyatt said as he reached for the canteen and then held it out to Garrett. “You wanna explain to me what all that was about?”
